About the University of California Research Funding

The University of California Office of the President's Research Grants Program Office (RGPO) supports research that is critical to California, the nation and the world. RGPO programs enhance UC’s research capacity and excellence, which helps attract top faculty, graduate students, government funding and companies to our state. Within this office, UC Research Initiatives (UCRI) offer unique opportunities for collaboration and seed funding across the full breadth of academic disciplines and scholarship at UC, from the arts and humanities to engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, education and medicine.
